The laundromat game in Boise, Idaho has been riddled with issues as of late, and this has presented quite an opportunity for expansion with my own business. Short and Sweet Stays has been pivotal to this expansion because they have been able to provide a quality furnished housing in Boise that makes the coordination for various logistics much easier to deal with.
My family has been in the laundromat business for multiple generations and have seen many different changes over time. These changes have come in large packages and small packages with insane overhauls to regulation and even natural disasters as well as smaller factors such as the proliferation of the at home washing machine.
With all of these changes, my family has needed to stay innovative and creative in order to survive. I credit a lot of my ingenuity to what I have learned from my family in generations past and hope to continue the legacy moving forward. I am hopeful that we will be able to overcome this next series of challenges just as we have in the past.
Because the local industry has been facing some consolidation, rather than sitting pretty and trying to ride out these changes, I have decided to play the aggressive card and instead try to work on expansion. I believe there are two schools of thought when it comes to opportunity, one is to play it safe and survive and the other is to take some chances and potentially thrive.
Of course, there is a risk inherent with every new venture but that is simply something that is second nature when it comes to the laundromat business. I have checked with many other members of the family and everyone is in agreement that this risk is well worth the potential reward.
The first item of business is to establish a center of operations which has materialized in a fantastic partnership with Short and Sweet Stays who have provided lovely furnished housing in Boise for me to call home while working on the expansion.
Having this home base has really given me a major peace of mind, so that I can focus on the challenges that come with business expansion. I know that Boise, Idaho is ready for us, but there are still many mountains that we will need to climb before everything is all said and done.
I have been enjoying the challenge of expanding the laundromat business to Boise, Idaho and I am thankful for Short and Sweet Stays. I have enjoyed the furnished housing in Boise and look forward to what comes next.
