Having been catfished myself, I can speak from experience when I say that it can have a devastating impact on a person to realize that the individual that you cared for so deeply and felt such a resolute devotion toward, doesn’t actually exist. Coming to Tampa FL to help others who have fallen victim to this phenomenon, I am lucky to have StayAvenida by my side with their furnished housing in Tampa for rest and reassurance as we unearth some powerful webs of lies and deceit, and hopefully put some good people on the path to recovery and transcendence.
It was my late 20s when I first met my catfish online in a chat room. We engaged in conversation and quickly came to realize that we had a special connection over many shared interests and some deeper feelings about life and the world at large.
As we got to know each other better, we took our conversations out of the chat room and started sending photos of ourselves and where we lived and activities that we would do with friends. We slowly sharing our respective worlds with each other on the other side of the country.
Conversations escalated to become a bit more romantic and flirtier, and it wasn’t too long before we started sharing our feelings of affection with each other and opening ourselves up to a new level of vulnerability and trust than I had ever had with a person, even in the physical world. This kind of engaging relationship made me feel so special and accepted and really became a highlight of my time as I wanted to get to know the person on the other end of the computer in more ways.
Suggesting a meetup, they seemed open to it at first, but pressing a little bit more led to a complete shutdown on their part. I suddenly stopped getting texts back, and my emails and calls went unanswered.
Fearing the worst, I called the police in their local area to file a missing person report because I was afraid that something awful had happened. When the police told me that the person I had been filing for did not exist, I knew that I had been living a lie.
I was able to ultimately confront my catfish in person and came to a resolution thereafter to help others who may be in the same dilemma with their woes. Hence, my trip to Tampa FL and at the same time, my nice furnished housing in Tampa from StayAvenida.
I don’t know how things will pan out here in Tampa FL, but at least I am happy with my furnished housing in Tampa and I know that StayAvenida has my interests at heart. Let’s continue to expose lies and set people free.
