New Start in My Serviced Apartment in Washington D.C.

I was incarcerated for quite some time and now that I’m out I’ve been searching for a serviced apartment in Washington D.C. I know how it sounds, like a man who shouldn’t be out of jail is now looking for housing.

I want to set the record straight. I made a lot of mistakes when I was younger and the path I chose wasn’t the best option. It’s something a lot of people will never understand. But I’ve changed now and I’m looking for a serviced apartment in Washington D.C.

I’m happy to say that I’ve been sober ever since I was incarcerated, and I made it a deal with myself to change when I was inside. Not to revert to the man I once was.

With that being said, when I got out year later the adjustment was hard. There is no class or plan that teaches us how to assimilate back into regular society.  This is probably why the return rate is so high.

I ended up getting a job, working hard and trying to fit back into a normal society. I was at the point now that I was doing great and was looking to move out to Washington DC. Don’t get me wrong, I still have a lot to work on, this was just the start.

I got in contact with Attache Property Management, LLC and they were able to get me a place pretty fast. Even with all of my past records, it didn’t really seem to phase them. As long as I could pay my bills on time that’s all that really mattered to them.

I wasn’t use to this kind of treatment. Usually someone was bossing me around and saying I couldn’t do something because of my past. But now, this gave me hope for the future.

I’ve been working 60 hour weeks the past year now and I’m disciplined in working harder and harder. I want to be one of the biggest success stories there is out there and I’ve been doing well.

I even met a young lady the other day and we chatted for a bit about my past. There’s a lot of stuff that it’s hard to talk about, but it was nice being able to chat. I ended up getting the keys to my serviced apartment in Washington D.C. and I can tell you, it’s a lot nicer than a prison cell.

All jokes aside, having my own space to move around and work on my independence has been a blessing. I cannot thank those enough who are around me continuously checking up on me and making sure everything is okay.
